The Steel City Ramblers

Dr. Jeff Towers has been involved in the music scene since his college years, and over the last few years he has become a well known musical artist in the Armstrong, Pennsylvania area.  He is sought after as a guitarist, and has accompanied many bands and acoustic shows.  He is not only a spectacular guitartist with great tone and precision; he also has a soulful singing voice that makes the listener want to hear more.  Jeff plays guitar and is a backup vocalist for The Steel City Ramblers.  Jeff also accompanies Justin often for acoustic shows.  The melodies they create togeher are truly pleasant to the ear.  

Brian Shaffer has been writing, recording and performing music since he was a teenager.  He has been a member of various musical projects ranging from a cappella vocal groups to high energy rock bands.  He has achieved radio airplay nationally and abroad, and he has had his music featured on MTV and is an active member of Broadcast Music Incorporated.  Brian not only has fabulous vocals with great control and projection; he also is a multi talented musician that plays multiple instruments.  Brian is a voice talent, musician, vocal coach, graphic designer, is involved in multiple bands and also plays the drums and is a vocalist for The Steel City Ramblers.  

John Briney a.k.a. "Johnny Bassist" has been playing bass guitar for local and regional acts dating back to 1974. Touring regionally with a rock band in the late 70's, John had the opportunity to open up for international acts such as UFO, Brownsville Station, Steppenwolf, Head East and others. Over the years, John has used his multi genre skills while playing music from the 40s to Disco to Hard Rock to Bubblegum to Country and Southern Rock. He is a retired police officer. The music has certainly been a great outlet and therapy in life. His wife Maria will always be seen with the band serving as the bands photographer.
